HIS ROLE AS GLOBAL SENIOR CREATIVE & VISUAL MANAGER AT HUDSON’S BAY, CHRISTOPHER LED THE OPENING OF OVER A DOZEN EUROPEAN STORES DURING THE COMPANY’S INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION IN 2017. BUT ONE OF HIS MOST ICONIC PROJECTS HAPPENED CLOSER TO HOME: “HOME ON 7TH”—A FULL REIMAGINING, AND PART OF A BIGGER REBRANDING OF THE COMPANY'S FLAGSHIP HOME DEPARTMENT IN TORONTO’S SIMPSON TOWER. the project earned a design award from the international housewares association, (link to article below.

THE RENAISSANCE
 

AS HUDSON’S BAY LOOKED TO SWITCH GEARS AND ATTRACT A NEW GENERATION OF YOUNG ADULTS UNDER BONNIE BROOKS’ LEADERSHIP—AND STRIVE TO BE "CANADA’S NEW DESTINATION FOR HOME INSPIRATION"—CHRISTOPHER WAS BROUGHT ON TO CHANGE THE VISUAL STORYTELLING TRAJECTORY.

inspired by international city markets, The result was nothing short of transformative: a highly editorial, trend-driven, and deeply modern “market” style floorplan that combined curated inspiration zones with dynamic product vignettes. From seasonal color stories to shoppable lifestyle setups, every inch of the 7th floor was reimagined to feel like a living, breathing design magazine brought to life. The environment shifted Hudson’s Bay into a new visual era—elevating the retail experience and drawing in a younger, more design-conscious customer base who were seeing the brand in a whole new light.
